I’m currently working on publishing my first novel, Untethered, a YA paranormal fiction tale about a girl trying to take care of her younger brothers and a ghost named Pip. It’s got themes of struggling with self-acceptance, forgiveness, and good triumphing over evil (after a good kick in the teeth first).
I also have a clean romantasy mermaid series and a contemporary Beauty and the Beast retelling on the backburner.
I’ve always loved telling stories, in every way I possibly could. From Barbies to customized comics to the stage. I spent five years telling other people’s stories through wedding and portrait photography, even getting photos published in thirty photography magazines. I retired from client work in 2021 so I could focus more fully on the stories I really want to tell.
So now I’m diving into the world of books from the other side of the looking glass…as a teller of stories and not just a consumer of them. Let’s connect on social media! And we can get REAL friendly through my email newsletter if you want to subscribe!
I have this philosophy that when we activate our creativity, then we’re using the ol’ noodle how we’re supposed to! It helps us connect to our fullest self. I also believe there’s more ways to be creative than just artistic expression.
Creativity connects us.
You can consider an opinion or idea from a new perspective. Or you might dig deeper into something cool you saw online.
So yeah, paint those pictures and make those TikToks! Just remember creative thinking is about more than artistic expression. It’s about using your brain in a creative way.
Sign up for my newsletter and enjoy a discount for my Etsy shop (amongst other freebies), as well as all the things about the projects I’m divin’ into. Plus, I occasionally have themes or topics that we deep-dive into, and we can share some dope art and thoughts with each other, too.
